Seaford High School became the first high school in the State of Delaware to have its entire World Language Department certified as World Language Proficiency Champions! The World Language Teachers worked through 15 hours of training in order to complete the certification. DOE Education Associate for Language Acquisition, Mr. Gregory Fulkerson attended the May faculty meeting to present the certificates.

Abigail Covey will continue her scholastic swimming career when she goes off to college this fall. She has signed her letter of intent to be a member of the Salisbury University Swim Team. In the picture she signs her letter of intent with her parents and family and Seaford High School Swim Coach Mr. Micheal Lebow (last row last person on right).

SHS junior Marley Fishburn finished in the top 10 of the digital media competition of the National BPA competition held in Los Angeles California. Marley is ranked number 1 in her class. She is the first SHS student to be in the top 10 of the BPA finals in decades.

The Spanish Club, Softball team, Girl's Basketball team and the Class of 2021 worked Saturday, May 4th and Sunday May 5th, at Nascar races at Dover Downs.

Four Seaford High School female athletes were honored by the Delaware Women's Alliance for Sport and Fitness. Jada Evans, Marley Fishburn and Carmelange Jean Baptiste were honored as Delaware Athletes of Promise. Abigail Covey was honored as the 2019 Seaford High School Outstanding Female Athlete. Congratulations to all the girls and making SHS proud!

On April 17, 2019 Forty seniors will take a Multi-Literacy Certification test. This test involves, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Passing this test allows students to place on resumes and applications they are certified literate in more than one language.

Students in the Med Tech program became CPR certified as part of the program.
