Seaford High School Hall OF Fame Football Coach Ron Dickerson Passes Away
Ron Dickerson Seaford High School coaching legend passed away on October 5, 2019. Coach Dickerson ( Captain Dick) made his mark as a coach at Seaford High School, after playing football at Laurel High. Dickerson played at Shepherd College in West Virginia and came back to Delaware to begin his coaching career at Seaford in 1969 as an assistant. He took over the program in 1973 and remained at the helm for the next 28 years. Dickerson won nine Henlopen Conference titles and won state championships in 1981 and 1983. Dickerson also coached baseball at Seaford for seven seasons, in which he won 102 games to go along with two state titles. Seaford High School's thoughts and prayers are with the Dickerson family.
